CLASS ORGANIZATION FOR NEXT YEAR

In 2010 students will again be organized into 11 classes with the following being our proposed arrangement.  Please note that it may be subject to change as staffing is not fully finalized and availability may alter.

                                    2 x Prep classes

3 x 1/2 classes

3 x 3/4 classes

3 x 5/6 classes.

PARENT REQUESTS FOR CLASS PLACEMENT

Parents are given the opportunity to place a request for class placement in 2010 within the proposed arrangement above.  This must be done in writing and submitted to the office by Friday 20th November (this week).

Parents are encouraged to make requests only in exceptional circumstances.  School staff spends much time and great effort in trying to place students with the best available teacher for them, while considering friendships and obtaining the best working arrangement possible. We encourage parents to trust staff judgement in making the best decision possible for students.

3/4 WATER CONSERVATION PROJECT

For the next three weeks all the 3/4s will be saving water.  We will be putting buckets under all of the drinking taps so we can use the wasted water and put it on our school gardens.  We are doing this because the world is running out of water.  We will be measuring how much water we save and reporting it in the school newsletter.  Please DO NOT TOUCH THE BUCKETS.  If the buckets are overflowing please find a Grade 3/4 student and they will get it emptied.  Thank you.   By Kaila Davey and Ruby Thompson - Grade 3/4.

SCHOOL MAGAZINE-Final Payment due

The school magazine has been printed and will be sent home shortly with students. Early this year many families paid a deposit for the magazine and have $3 owing on their payments. Families who did not put an expression of interest in and wish to purchase a magazine you still have a chance to do so. The cost is $5. We still have some families who have made a deposit but not paid the balance of $2 as yet. Please send payment as soon as possible. Thank you.
